Matt has always been interested in music. At school he was the only boy in the choir and always spent his lunch breaks in the music room … but it all went pear shaped during those vital years when he went from being a high soprano to a bass without warning!
He went to University where after some time he found his voice and was lucky enough to be able to tour in the Chorus with Glyndebourne Opera’s Don Giovanni and understudy for Paul Merton and Lee Mack in the ITV Christmas Pantomime of Dick Whittington.
In the years to follow he took a step back from singing to concentrate on various careers but has recently found his way back to music and is happy to be part of Heart and Music.
He says: “It’s great to be enjoying performing again but at the same time raising money for some exciting causes. You get a whole new feeling performing when you know that you are helping to do good at the same time.”
Matt is happy to announce that he has taken the role of “Youngest member of Heart and Music” from Hayley and is planning to enjoy every minute of it until the spotlight is taken by a younger model!
